Uji is also famous for the Byodo-in Temple. While we were there, a kind Japanese gentleman showed us the temple engraved on the back of the 10 yen coin, which he gave to Sophia!

Looks beautiful! Nice to hear of someone being so nice to Sophia...makes you think of things you could do for tourists when you see them here in the USA. From what Sophia wrote, sounds like I would love Japanese breakfast! I am loving trying those Japanese words...it will be interesting to see how my attempts and the actual pronunciation blend!
